What kind of mentality is it for the other party not to delete or block after a breakup?

Many people are deeply troubled after a breakup. The other party neither initiates a reconciliation nor deletes or blocks their contact information. Occasionally, they even like or browse their posts. Their attitude is ambiguous. Many people fail to understand the other party’s mindset and repeatedly engage in internal conflicts and wild speculations, not knowing whether to continue waiting for a reconciliation.

Not deleting or blocking usually doesn’t mean a complete letting go or a definite intention to rekindle the relationship. Instead, it indicates a state of waiting and hesitation. There is still residual affection in the other party’s heart. They haven’t completely dismissed this relationship. The current conflicts and disappointments are not sufficient to warrant continued interaction.

Keeping the contact information is also a way to leave oneself a fallback option. It allows one to observe changes in your behavior, assess whether you have grown, and whether you have overcome past issues. It enables you to quietly examine your changes and determine whether this relationship still has the potential to be restarted.

This state is an excellent window period for a reconciliation. There is no need to deliberately get entangled or disturbed. Focus on self-improvement, adjusting your state, and addressing the shortcomings in your interactions. Present a positive attitude to show the other party your changes, making it easier to break the ice and achieve a smooth reconciliation.
